SPE Richard E. Wyman Scholarship

The Salt Lake Petroleum Section (SLPS) of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is pleased
to offer the Richard E. Wyman Scholarship in the amount of $2000 to a select student pursuing
an engineering or geoscience degree that could lead to a career in the Oil and Gas Industry. The
scholarship is for the 2012-2013 academic year and to receive the monetary award, the recipient
must enroll as a full time student for the 2012 Fall Semester. Residents from the SLPS service
area, including parts of Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming, are eligible to apply for this award.
A scholarship recipient will be selected through an application process in early May by a
Scholarship Selection Committee. Additional details and requirements for consideration of this
award are included with the scholarship application provided herewith. To be considered for this
award, please complete and return this application to the address shown on the application.
We look forward to receiving applications from potential awardees that are attending or planning
to attend any accredited institution of higher education.
