There are many job opportunities in Chemical Engineering and a wide variety of careers to satisfy a diversity of interests. Regardless of which industry you wish to ultimately enter, the best advice is to start early and build upon each career move towards your end goal.
Internships should be some of your first "stepping stones" to final job placement as a professional chemical engineer, and many of these internships are available to students in their sophomore year. To be placed into an internship that best fits your ultimate career goals, you should start researching and planning early, preferentially as freshmen and sophomores.
