The University of Utah has been named a National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) multidisciplinary center of excellence in the emerging field of predictive science. This $16 million effort is funded by NNSA’s Predictive Science Academic Alliance Program II (PSAAP II). We would like to congratulate Chemical Engineering Professor Phil Smith and his research group. The project led by Phil Smith and School of Computing Professor Martin Berzins will focus on “The Uncertainty Quantification-Predictive Multidisciplinary Simulation Center for High Efficiency Electric Power Generation with Carbon Capture.”
