Abstract

The purpose of the energy industry is to ensure that local and national populations enjoy a high quality of life by having access to clean, affordable energy. Underground natural gas storage facilities are a vital part of the world’s natural gas infrastructure. These facilities allow Exploration & Production (E&P) and transmission pipeline companies to utilize natural gas assets year round while providing means for consistent gas supply throughout the year. Thus, keeping power plants supplied for A/C units in the summer and keeping residential, commercial, educational, and industrial consumers warm in the winter.

Short Biography

Mr. Abraham graduated from the U of U with an Honors BS in Chemical Engineering in May 2013 and started as an Associate Engineer at Questar Pipeline Company in the same year. Shortly after graduation he enrolled in the MS Petroleum Engineering program, working under Dr. McLennan, and will graduate in May 2015. In November 2014 he was promoted to the role of Reservoir Engineer at Questar Pipeline Company where he manages all of its Storage Reservoir Operations totaling over 56 BCF of Working Gas Inventory on an annual cycle.
