With just about 230 attendees, The 2014 Rocky Mountain Student Regional Conference was hosted on March 28-30 at the University of Utah. Aside from the educational aspects of the conference, a little fun was to be had as well. The AIChE student chapter organized the conference which featured the annual Regional Chem-E-Car competition, Research Paper competition and Chem-E Jeopardy competition. Thirteen colleges had registered participants that showed up ready to compete. Dean Richard Brown, College of Engineering, extended a welcome to all attendees before handing out awards at the closing Awards Banquet. Congratulations to all of the conference winners, the Department of Chemical Engineering placed second and fifth in the Chem-E-Car competition. For the fourth year in a row, the Department of Chemical Engineering placed first in the Chem-E Jeopardy.
